Singapore and Indonesia agree to set up joint task force to address transboundary haze

Indonesia and Singapore have agreed to form a joint task force to strengthen corporate accountability over forest fires. Singapore's Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is in Jakarta for a 3-day working visit. He met his Indonesian counterpart Arrmanatha Nasir, and both men discussed the ongoing forest fires in Indonesia, which have caused haze both in Indonesia and across the region.
