Families who want their loved ones' ashes scattered at sea will have a more affordable option from the second half of 2027. A new shared ferry service will cost S$50 per application, compared with the few hundred dollars or more that private trips currently cost. More people in Singapore are opting for ash scattering, as annual deaths are set to rise by about half by 2040. Eugene Chow has more.
