Parts of India's capital New Delhi are under lockdown, as authorities launch a sweeping security crackdown to stop what they are calling an illegal demonstration. The movement, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), is demanding the resignation of the country's election chief. The CJP leader has been detained after police officers escorted him from a plane, following his arrival from Mumbai. His whereabouts, along with two other CJP leaders in police custody, remain unknown. Thousands of demonstrators have also been detained while attempting to march to the protest site in central Delhi.
