Singapore will increase the number of days of childcare leave each working parent will get, up to 12 days for those with three children or more, announced Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the National Day Rally on Sunday (Aug 23). This is aimed at giving parents more time and much greater flexibility to care for their children, says Mr Wong. To reduce the financial burden on employers, the government will cover the cost of all statutory child-related leave, up to the reimbursement limit.
