Migrant workers to get more affordable, accessible primary healthcare under enhanced plan

Migrant workers in Singapore will soon have easier access to primary healthcare, while employers could pay less for their medical coverage. The Primary Care Plan (PCP) will be enhanced from April next year. Currently, workers are assigned to one of six zones based on where they live. From 2027, these will be consolidated to four zones. Most workers will have access to a PCP clinic within 2km of their residence. The changes are expected to help employers save up to S$41 per worker per year. A new online enrolment portal for employers and appointment booking system for workers will also be introduced from 2027. Germaine Wong reports.
