Return Right machines are getting an upgrade, with more time to collect refunds, louder audio prompts and clearer refund buttons. The changes are aimed at making it easier for users to claim the 10-cent refund on drink containers under the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS), which began on 1 April. Another 300 machines will also be rolled out at more locations. Of the over 5 million containers returned so far, 55% are plastic and the remaining are metal. There will also be more than 400 BCRS roadshows at supermarkets starting this month. Eugene Chow reports.
