High business costs, offshoring and artificial intelligence (AI) are making it harder for young Singaporeans to secure entry-level jobs, said Workers’ Party MP Kenneth Tiong, as he moved a motion in parliament on Wednesday (Aug 5) calling for an “economy of the future” that works for all Singaporeans.  Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash said the evidence does not support the conclusion that the economic model is failing.
