Risks of fresh flooding have complicated rescue efforts for more than 3,000 people reported missing in the Himalayan border region between Nepal and Tibet. Rising water levels in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers after heavy rains have forced rescue teams to move to safer areas. India and China have sent specialised teams to help search for more than 100 workers believed to be trapped inside hydropower tunnels in Nuwakot district. Authorities in Nepal said at least 734 people have been killed in the disaster. Rebecca Bundhun reports from Bidur, Nepal and Tan Yew Guan reports from Shanghai.
