2 taken to hospital after fire breaks out in Pasir Ris HDB flat

Two people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at an HDB flat at Block 722 Pasir Ris Street 72 on Sunday (Sep 13). The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said preliminary investigations indicated that the fire, which broke out in the bedroom of an eighth-floor unit, was likely of electrical origin.
