Midweek trading ideas: Could GBP/USD drop back to $1.33?

CMC Markets1 week ago10:29

This week’s economic data could have a major say in what the Federal Reserve does at its September meeting. ADP employment is expected to show 48,000 jobs created in August, up from 44,000 in July, while ISM services are forecast to come in at 54.2. Friday’s nonfarm payrolls report is expected to show 56,000 jobs created, with unemployment unchanged at 4.1%. In-line data may keep markets focused on a potential rate hike before year-end, while hotter numbers could raise the prospect of a move as soon as September.
