World's largest liquid air energy storage project goes online #coolchina

China has brought the world's largest 60-megawatt liquid air energy storage demonstration project online in Golmud City, northwest China's Qinghai Province. Using an ultra-cold process at minus 194 degrees Celsius, the system turns surplus electricity into liquid air for storage.
