Death toll rises to 43, over 500 remain missing after mudslide hits border port in China's Xizang

Chinese officials say the death toll from a mudslide in Gyirong Port in Xizang has risen to 43, with 519 people still missing. During a briefing attended by journalists from both domestic and foreign media, authorities said that over 2,500 people have been deployed for search and rescue operations. They said more than 9,000 pieces of equipment have been used since the mudslide swept through the border area with Nepal.
