A mass funeral is being held in Bukavu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for 29 people who died in a school fire and subsequent stampede. Most of the victims were students. Correspondent Alain Uaykani reports on the grief in the community after students tried to escape the burning buildings, triggering a deadly stampede. Authorities have temporarily halted rebuilding work to assess the damage and review safety standards. The tragedy has also renewed concerns about fires in Bukavu, where congested, timber-based construction increases the risks. The city is currently under the control of the M23 rebel group.
