Separately, a fire broke out at the Afipsky Oil Refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai after Ukrainian forces struck the facility overnight. The refinery is one of the largest oil processing facilities in southern Russia. Ukraine's General Staff confirmed the strike, stating the target was successfully hit. Russian authorities reported the fire was caused by debris from intercepted drones, which also damaged an outbuilding, shattered windows, and disrupted a gas pipeline. Drone debris also struck an apartment building in the regional capital of Krasnodar, injuring two people, and a third person was injured in the Severskiy District. The fire at the refinery was extinguished around 7:30 a.m. local time. The Afipsky Oil Refinery processes roughly 6.25 million tons of crude annually, about 2% of Russia's refining output, and has been targeted in previous Ukrainian attacks.
