Trump Media & Technology Group is launching Truth API, a paid service offering businesses real-time access to posts from key Truth Social accounts. The service, set to launch August 1, 2026, aims to provide financial traders and news organizations with fast, licensed data, replacing manual monitoring and unauthorized scraping.

The launch of Truth API creates a new revenue stream for Trump Media & Technology Group by monetizing the market-moving potential of President Trump's social media posts, while also raising ethical concerns about conflicts of interest.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has launched Truth API, a paid data service offering businesses real-time access to posts from the platform's most influential accounts. The service is designed to provide licensed, verified access to fast-moving political and market information, aiming to replace unauthorized data scraping with a more efficient and immediate feed.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the Truth API is intended to generate recurring revenue for TMTG, noting that "Markets already move on Truth Social posts." This move positions the company to monetize its platform beyond advertising and subscriptions. Similar data feeds are utilized by hedge funds, trading desks, and financial media to monitor public posts that could impact stocks, commodities, currencies, or policy-sensitive assets.
President Donald Trump's account, the largest on Truth Social with 12.9 million followers, is central to the platform's relevance for financial firms seeking market-moving signals from official communications. The Trump family is the largest shareholder in TMTG, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker DJT.
The launch has raised ethical questions, with Virginia Canter, an ethics attorney, calling the arrangement "a huge conflict of interest." She argued that routing fast access to presidential communications through a private company tied to the Trump family's holdings conflicts with Trump's public duty to share information widely, especially as Truth Social has become a primary outlet for presidential statements.
