President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he does not believe Iran is prepared to negotiate what he termed the "right deal." Speaking to reporters, Trump indicated that Washington is closely observing the ongoing developments in the region.
When questioned about the limitations of U.S. military options concerning Iran, Trump responded, "It just means that we're seeing what happens." He further asserted U.S. dominance in the area, stating, "We have total control of that entire region having to do with the Strait of Hormuz, and that means well into it, the land areas."
Trump added that while Iran would "love to make a deal," they are "not ready to make the right deal, in my opinion."
