The Arthur Companies acquires Beach Cooperative

The transaction, which received approval from Beach Cooperative members, follows months of planning between the two entities. Beach Cooperative will continue to operate as a locally managed business, retaining its current employees and management team. Arthur Companies indicated plans to evaluate future investments in equipment, technology, facilities, and market access.

James Burgum, CEO of The Arthur Companies, emphasized the shared values of neighbor-to-neighbor service and local commitment between the two companies. He stated that the acquisition would provide immediate cash value to Beach patrons and position the operation for long-term strength within Arthur's broader platform.

Rick Miske, President of the Beach Cooperative Board of Directors, noted the board's careful evaluation of sustainable paths forward and Arthur's commitment to maintaining strong competition for growers in the region. Seth Heidorn, Vice President of Grain for The Arthur Companies, added that growers can expect continued local service backed by a larger company with competitive bids and practical solutions.
