Three South Korean military officers were injured on Monday in an unidentified explosion during a search operation in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates the two Koreas. The explosion took place south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) in the western part of the DMZ. While the exact cause is under investigation, a landmine explosion is suspected.
