Russia's UN envoy, Vassily Nebenzia, has accused Western countries of using a recent drone incident in Romania for "anti-Russian information warfare" and of showing little interest in a comprehensive investigation. Speaking at a UN Security Council emergency meeting, Nebenzia highlighted alleged inconsistencies in Bucharest's account of the event, where a drone crashed into an apartment block in Galati, injuring two people. He suggested that similar past incidents, initially blamed on Russia, were later found to be of Ukrainian origin. Nebenzia also questioned the plausibility of the drone straying due to Ukrainian air defenses, given the distance it allegedly traveled. Moscow has expressed readiness for an objective investigation if provided with relevant materials.
