A customer reported a significant reduction in their prescription cost at Walgreens, with a single QR code coupon lowering a $618 generic medication bill to just $15. This dramatic saving was facilitated by the Walgreens Rx Savings Finder tool, which is powered by RxSense and helps customers identify lower prices on eligible prescriptions.
According to Walgreens, prescription discount cards are not a form of insurance. They can, however, offer prices that are lower than typical insurance copays and the pharmacy's standard retail rates. The specific pricing can vary based on the discount card used, the medication, and the participating Walgreens pharmacy location.
Walgreens has established guidelines for coupon usage, which encompass both printable and paperless digital coupons. Customers can 'clip' digital coupons directly to their myWalgreens account via the Walgreens app or website. These paperless coupons are automatically applied at the point of sale when the customer identifies themselves with their myWalgreens account, phone number, or by scanning their app.
