South Korean President Lee Jae Myung's approval rating has seen a rebound, increasing by 3 percentage points to 54% in the latest Gallup Korea poll. This marks an improvement from its previously lowest level. The economy and people's livelihoods were cited as the primary reasons for the increased approval.
Concurrently, President Lee is scheduled to embark on a trip to Turkey next week to attend a NATO summit. Following this, he will proceed to Mongolia for a state visit, where he is expected to hold discussions with President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. This visit to Mongolia, at the invitation of President Khurelsukh, will be the first by a South Korean president in 15 years.
Lee's attendance at the NATO gathering is at the invitation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The poll also indicated that disapproval of Lee's performance fell to 36%.
