NNPC said its total oil and gas production rose to 3.04 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in September from 3.01 million boepd a month earlier, according to its monthly report published the week of November 4, 2026. The state company attributed the increase to slightly higher crude oil and natural gas output and flat condensate production, with some oilfields restarting, including the Obodo oilfield in mining license OML 150.
Revenue came in at $3.4 billion, or 4.608 trillion Nigerian naira, in line with monthly revenue since March, when NNPC said the Iran war and the Strait of Hormuz crisis raised international oil prices.
NNPC said output remained constrained by unplanned downtime tied to facility reliability problems, subsurface issues, flowline leaks, community protests, equipment failures, storage and tank-top limits, and disruptions to export infrastructure.
The report also restated that Nigeria's crude oil output alone reached a 15-month high of 1.53 million bpd in May, the highest since January 2025, with combined crude and condensate at an 11-month high of 1.7 million bpd including 170,446 bpd of condensate.
