Minneapolis shooting leaves two dead, multiple injured

A shooting in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries, including two police officers. The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed the incident involved multiple victims and urged the public to avoid the area. Initial reports indicated the two officers sustained injuries to the shin and abdomen, and that the suspected shooter was down. Governor Tim Walz released a statement expressing gratitude to law enforcement and solidarity with the victims. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were also present at the scene, which was located near an apartment building on East Grant Street. Video footage showed police officers aiming rifles upward at an apartment tower.
