Rep. Nancy Mace humorously reacted to President Donald Trump's decision to endorse both Republican candidates vying for the South Carolina governorship. Trump issued a rare dual endorsement for Lt. Gov. Pam Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson, who are headed for a runoff election.
Mace, who also ran for governor this year but did not advance to the runoff, responded to Trump's Truth Social post on X with the abbreviation 'LMAO,' signifying 'laughing my a-- off.'
Trump explained his decision on Truth Social, stating, 'I can’t hurt one of them by only Endorsing the other, so therefore, I am going to Endorse, for Governor of South Carolina, both Pam Evette and Alan Wilson!' He added, 'It’s a Wealth of Riches – With either one you can’t go wrong.'
Evette secured 29% of the vote in the primary, while Wilson also advanced. Mace garnered 12.23% of the vote, placing fifth in the Republican primary.
