Dhiraj Bommadevara led India's charge at the Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Antalya, securing a historic individual recurve gold and partnering with Kumkum Mohod for the mixed team title. The 24-year-old Bommadevara defeated South Korea's Olympic bronze medallist Lee Woo-seok 7-3 in the men's individual final, marking India's first men's individual recurve gold at a World Cup stage since Atanu Das in 2021. Bommadevara had previously won three bronze medals in his World Cup career. Earlier, Bommadevara and 17-year-old Mohod defeated the top-seeded South Korean pair of Oh Yejin and Kim Je-deok 5-1 in the recurve mixed team final. This victory made them the third Indian mixed recurve pair to achieve gold at a World Cup stage. Mohod also contributed to the Indian women's recurve team's gold medal at the previous World Cup stage in Shanghai. However, India's success was not mirrored in other events, with the women's team exiting in the quarter-finals and the men's team in the second round. Deepika Kumari was the highest-placed Indian in the women's individual event, reaching the pre-quarterfinals. India's compound archers had a disappointing performance, failing to secure any medals, with the men's team narrowly missing the podium after a one-point loss in the bronze-medal match. The Antalya event was the third of four stages in the Archery World Cup circuit, with Madrid hosting the final leg.
