IHG Hotels and Resorts is expanding its premium brand portfolio by launching the Noted Collection in Japan, with two hotels planned for Tokyo. The first property, a 207-key hotel in Shinjuku's Kabukicho district, will be a conversion of an existing facility and is scheduled to open in 2027. This hotel is being developed in partnership with SC Capital Partners.
A second hotel, an 81-key new-build in the Ginza 8-chome district, will open in 2029. This project is a collaboration with An Consulting. Both hotels aim to reflect the distinct character and local sense of place that define the Noted Collection brand, while leveraging IHG's global scale and loyalty program.
Abhijay Sandilya, Managing Director for Japan & Micronesia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the strong opportunity in Japan's premium hotel segment and the appeal of flexible brand solutions for owners. Daisuke Hiramoto of SC Capital Partners noted the opportunity to enhance guest experience and maximize the hotel's potential through IHG's partnership. Amane Kotani of An Consulting expressed pleasure in collaborating with IHG to bring the first new-build Noted Collection hotel to Ginza.
