Deutsche Bank USA experienced a significant increase in its cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives notional value during the second quarter, reaching $1.48 trillion. This marks an eightfold jump from the $160.2 billion recorded as of March 30, which itself was a nine-year high. The latest figure is the highest the bank has seen since 2016. Prior to this surge, Deutsche Bank USA concluded 2025 with only $39 billion in cleared OTC notional. This substantial growth has propelled the bank to become the fourth-largest entity among non-Globally Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBs) in the cleared OTC derivatives market.
