Derrick Lewis thanks President Trump for White House UFC card spot

Trump, a known fan of the sport, inquired with UFC CEO Dana White about Lewis's absence from the event. Following Trump's question, White quickly arranged for Lewis to be added to the card to face heavyweight Josh Hokit.

Lewis, who has a history of personal struggles including a prison sentence, expressed his excitement and disbelief at the turn of events, viewing it as a significant moment in his life's journey. He shared a brief phone conversation with President Trump after a recent fight in Tennessee, facilitated by White.

Known for his engaging personality and memorable post-fight celebrations, Lewis aims to perform well and not disappoint Trump, whom he has yet to meet in person but now shares a direct connection with.
