An attacker laundered approximately $744,000 in cryptocurrencies to Tornado Cash on Friday, days after exploiting a vulnerability in Cysic's bridge. The exploit allowed the hacker to mint 10 million Cysic (CYS) tokens on the BNB Smart Chain. Cysic suspended its bridge and froze about 2.8 million of the newly minted tokens, stating that its mainnet and existing user assets were unaffected. The Cysic Foundation subsequently offered the attacker a 10% bounty for the return of roughly 90% of the identified Ether proceeds.
