Liangpei AI, a Chinese matchmaking startup, charges an annual membership of 2,000 yuan ($300) that it says is fully refundable if a user remains unmarried after three years, according to a report published on November 8, 2026. The app launched in July.
The refund condition is tied to registering a marriage, not to finding a partner or to the outcome of a relationship, the report said. Liangpei also offers a 300 yuan quarterly membership and a 1,000 yuan lifetime membership, which it describes as payment for using the service rather than a marriage guarantee.

New users must first hold a roughly 20-minute voice conversation with an AI matchmaker, which the company says produces a profile of about 500 words. The company also offers an AI intermediary that can relay sensitive questions anonymously to a match's AI profile.
The report said China's online dating market reached 22.6 billion yuan ($3.4 billion) in 2024.
