Bulgaria's fourth-largest bank, Eurobank Bulgaria (Postbank), plans to integrate a range of investment products, including cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds, commodities, and metals, into its mobile banking application by early 2027. The bank is collaborating with an undisclosed international investment platform to power these new offerings. This move aligns with a broader trend in Europe where banks are leveraging white-label solutions to provide regulated digital asset access to their customers, facilitated by regulations like MiCA. Deutsche Bank and BNY are also expanding their digital asset services, while German cooperative banks have already rolled out similar offerings through their existing accounts via DZ Bank. Postbank's announcement follows a similar initiative by First Investment Bank (Fibank), which partnered with Bitpanda Enterprise in early October 2026 to embed crypto investing into its app. Fibank CEO Nikola Bakalov highlighted the importance of innovation in meeting evolving customer habits, a sentiment echoed by Bitpanda Enterprise's Global Head Nadeem Ladki regarding the mainstreaming of digital assets.
