BlackRock Chief Investment Officer Rick Rieder expressed a long-term bullish outlook for Bitcoin, stating it will trade "considerably higher." He acknowledged that the cryptocurrency faces competition from tech stocks and yield-bearing financial products, as well as emerging markets in the credit space. Rieder's comments come as BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, holds $51 billion in net assets, though spot Bitcoin ETFs have recently seen record outflows. BlackRock has also launched its Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA) on Nasdaq, aiming for a 15-25% annual yield with 70% returns tied to BTC price. Rieder also suggested that the Federal Reserve should not raise interest rates despite inflation concerns, noting that higher borrowing costs could negatively impact sectors already facing sticky inflation. He was previously considered for the Fed chair position before President Donald Trump nominated Kevin Warsh.
