Anthropic CEO to attend White House dinner with Trump

The relationship between Anthropic and the White House has been strained since the Pentagon designated the company a supply chain risk for attempting to limit the Defense Department's use of its Claude AI model. Anthropic subsequently sued the administration over this decision. On Friday, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the Trump administration, permitting the continued blacklisting of Anthropic from Pentagon contracts. This ruling follows a separate case last month where a federal judge in California ruled in Anthropic's favor regarding the Pentagon's designation under a different procurement law.
