AI Tools Aim to Cut Travel Costs

A new wave of artificial intelligence services is emerging to help consumers find more affordable travel options. These AI-powered tools are designed to monitor flight and hotel reservations, identify lower prices, and assist in planning trips.

Services like Layla aim to create personalized itineraries based on user preferences, budget, and travel style, while also uncovering deals on flights and accommodations. Some platforms offer a hybrid model, combining the speed of AI with the expertise of human travel agents for booking and logistical support. These human experts can plan, book, and manage trips from start to finish, providing a blend of AI convenience and traditional travel agency service.

The broader adoption of generative AI continues, with tools like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini reaching hundreds of millions of users. OpenAI recently achieved an $852 billion valuation, underscoring the rapid advancements and investment in the AI sector.
