CAIRO, Nov 5 (Reuters) - The United States and Egypt have signed a $125 million agreement aimed at expanding opportunities for American companies in Egypt and driving private-sector growth, the US Embassy said.
The deal, signed on Wednesday, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It covers areas including agriculture, food security, education, health, water security and workforce development, the embassy said in a statement.
It is also meant to promote Egyptian “self-reliance” and ensure US foreign assistance is used more efficiently, it said, without providing further details.
