Iran deal grants access to nuclear inspectors, IAEA chief says

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has provided updates on its oversight activities in both Iran and Ukraine. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi announced that an interim accord with Iran will permit nuclear inspectors access to the country. This development counters earlier statements from Tehran suggesting that certain key nuclear sites would be inaccessible to inspectors. Initial technical discussions regarding this access have already occurred.

In a separate development concerning Ukraine, the IAEA reported that repairs have been completed on a crucial power line and other energy infrastructure at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. Despite these repairs, the plant's main power line continues to be inoperable. The continued inoperability is attributed to damage sustained by the substation.
