Zelensky warns of imminent Russian missile attack, says Moscow preparing for significant mobilization

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on July 24 that Russia has prepared missiles for a new large-scale attack on Ukraine, with the strike potentially occurring within the next 48 hours. This warning comes as Russia continues its regular attacks on Ukrainian cities, targeting civilian infrastructure. Earlier on July 24, a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv hit an arms exhibition, resulting in at least ten deaths and over 100 injuries. This follows a July 19 incident where a Russian missile strike on a civilian cargo ship in the Black Sea killed 10 people.

Zelensky also indicated that Russia is planning a significant wave of mobilization for the fall. He stated that current intelligence suggests Russia is losing more troops on the front lines than it is able to recruit. According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russia has sustained approximately 1,436,100 troop losses since the full-scale invasion commenced on February 24, 2022.
