Zelenskiy urges Belarus to dismantle Russian relay stations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has reiterated his call for Belarus to dismantle relay stations that he claims are being used to facilitate Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian regions. This marks the second consecutive day Zelenskiy has addressed the issue, emphasizing that Ukraine is aware of four such stations and warning of potential Ukrainian action if they are not removed.

Zelenskiy also highlighted the significant increase in fuel supplies from Belarus to Russia, noting a 13-fold rise in gasoline and a tripling of diesel supplies between January and May compared to the same period last year. He argued that these increased supplies help Russia circumvent pressure and do not contribute to bringing peace closer.

Belarus, a close ally of Moscow, has allowed its territory to be used for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated he wishes to avoid further involvement in the conflict, Zelenskiy has urged Belarus to prove it is not providing direct support to Russia's war effort. Zelenskiy's remarks also alluded to Belarus's oil refining sector and its role in supporting Russia's military capabilities.
