The US Central Command (Centcom) has reported that over 50,000 American military personnel are currently operating in the Middle East. This statement comes amid ongoing military actions against Iran, including precision strikes on coastal surveillance sites, air defense installations, logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities. These attacks mark the sixth consecutive night of US military operations targeting Iran.
Centcom also detailed actions taken to enforce a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. According to a statement on X, US forces have redirected three commercial vessels attempting to pass through the blockade. One vessel was disabled for non-compliance, and another was boarded by U.S. Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit for verification.
