The assaults included drone strikes that significantly damaged multiple fuel stations and gas production facilities operated by the state-owned company Naftogaz in Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava Oblasts. In Sumy Oblast, two separate drone strikes hit gas stations, injuring a total of five people, including two employees and a couple. The Sumy Oblast Governor stated that these systematic strikes on fuel infrastructure aim to disrupt logistics and fuel supply, noting 13 such attacks in the region during June alone.
These attacks were part of a larger overnight Russian barrage that involved approximately 60 drones and one Iskander-M ballistic missile. Ukrainian air defense systems reported intercepting 83 drones. The most severe casualties were reported in eastern and southern Ukraine. Zaporizhzhia Oblast recorded two deaths and 22 injuries, while Kherson Oblast reported two deaths and 16 injuries, along with damage to numerous buildings and infrastructure. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast saw two fatalities and three injuries from over 50 strikes. Additionally, seven people were injured in Donetsk Oblast and five in Kharkiv Oblast, with civilian infrastructure also damaged in these regions.
