This incident occurred amidst a larger overnight drone assault by Russia, which launched 153 drones across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 131 of these aerial targets, though strikes were recorded in 17 locations and debris fell in four others.
Beyond Kherson, other regions also sustained significant attacks. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, one person was killed and seven injured due to over 20 attacks using drones and artillery. Zaporizhzhia Oblast reported two deaths and 36 injuries from 846 strikes across 48 settlements. Kharkiv Oblast saw 15 people injured, while Sumy Oblast reported 25 injuries from nearly 130 attacks. Donetsk Oblast recorded seven injuries from 25 shelling incidents. Additionally, one woman was injured in Chernihiv Oblast, and two people were injured by a missile strike in Poltava Oblast. The attacks caused damage to residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, businesses, and vehicles across multiple regions.
