Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the "right of free passage and freedom of navigation are no longer luxuries but have become an absolute necessity for the entire world." Foreign Office Spokesman Tahir Andrabi highlighted the waterway's importance for global economic sustenance, supply chains, and energy markets, noting that maritime traffic remains stable and trade flow is essential for regional and global economic stability.
