Malaysian police deported two Indian nationals on Wednesday who were wanted in connection with an explosion on a railway line in Punjab, India. The Royal Malaysia Police stated that the duo were sent back to India after Indian authorities requested assistance in locating and arresting them.
M. Kumar S. Muthuvelu, director of the police’s criminal investigation department, said the two were believed to have been involved in detonating an improvised explosive device on a railway line in Patiala, Punjab, on April 27. He added that Malaysia would not serve as a refuge for individuals evading criminal justice.
