Israeli forces killed an unarmed Palestinian man, Mustafa Taha Mustafa al-Khatib, 32, during a raid on his home in the village of Sarta, west of Salfit, in the occupied West Bank. According to his uncle, Yaseen al-Khatib, soldiers forced their way into the house and opened fire on Mustafa multiple times as he was attempting to get dressed after waking up. Al-Khatib later died from his wounds. His family stated that Israeli forces prevented residents from reaching him to provide first aid. Footage of his body inside the home circulated online after the troops withdrew. The Palestinian health ministry reported that this incident brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers this year to 72, including children, women, and elderly individuals. Palestinian prisoners' rights groups estimate that approximately 9,300 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, with nearly half detained without charge or trial.
