S. Muralidhar, an Indian judge and former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, has called on India to cease its supply of arms to Israel. Muralidhar, who chairs the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, stated that India should reconsider its arms transfers to ensure it does not contribute to what he described as "genocide in Gaza." He highlighted that the munitions and arms in Israel's possession are being used to target "defenceless unarmed children."
In an interview with Frontline magazine, Muralidhar urged India not to contribute to the failure of the UN system and to speak out clearly against attacks on children. He referenced India's historical role in drafting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its own Constitution, encouraging the nation to uphold that legacy. Muralidhar also commented that air strikes and attacks on medical facilities and children in Gaza would likely continue unless countries intervene.
