WhatsApp users report brief outage affecting messaging and web version

According to outage tracker Downdetector, reports jumped from normal levels to over 100 within minutes, indicating a brief disruption affecting multiple users. Users flagged problems sending messages and connecting to the app, with the web version specifically noted as not loading or sending messages. Reports on outage-tracking platforms suggest that WhatsApp Web, Facebook, and Instagram have all been impacted by the disruption. Meta has not yet issued an official statement on the cause of the issue.

StatusGator, a service that monitors outages, also detected a possible outage at WhatsApp, noting that the web version was not loading or sending messages. The service has tracked user-submitted reports of outages, with 1505 reports in the past 24 hours. Historically, StatusGator has logged various WhatsApp outages, including issues with the web version not loading or sending messages, and delays in message delivery.
