Google has agreed to pay SpaceX $920 million per month for compute capacity, according to a SpaceX filing with the SEC. The agreement is set to run from October 2026 to June 2029 and includes approximately 110,000 Nvidia GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components. This deal is intended to address surging customer demand for Google's agentic AI platform, Gemini Enterprise. A Google Cloud spokesperson stated that this is a short-term agreement to bridge capacity needs. The agreement allows either side to terminate with 90 days' notice starting in 2027. This arrangement is similar to a previous deal where Anthropic pays SpaceX $1.25 billion per month through May 2029 for compute capacity from SpaceX's Colossus data centers. SpaceX views these deals as a way to monetize unused compute capacity while retaining the option to reallocate it for internal initiatives. The filing comes as SpaceX prepares for a potential IPO. The total value of the Google deal is almost $30 billion, while Anthropic's contract is worth roughly $45 billion over three years. SpaceX generated nearly $4.7 billion in revenue and lost almost $4.3 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
