At Bristol Dragway in Bristol, Tennessee, qualifying for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals has concluded its initial rounds. Leah Pruett set the pace in the Top Fuel category with a run of 3.794 seconds at 332.43 mph. Following closely behind were Antron Brown and Tony Schumacher. In the Funny Car class, Matt Hagan secured the provisional top spot with a 4.009-second pass at 319.60 mph, ahead of Jack Beckman and Spencer Hyde. The Pro Stock category saw Greg Anderson claim the provisional No. 1 position with a time of 6.673 seconds at 204.45 mph, with Matt Latino and Dallas Glenn also performing strongly. Gaige Herrera led the Pro Stock Motorcycle field, posting a qualifying time of 6.867 seconds at 196.59 mph, followed by Ryan Oehler and Angie Smith.
