Kverneland, an agricultural machinery company, has expanded its range of power harrow drill combinations with the introduction of a new 6m f-drill Plus model. This latest addition features hydraulic folding capabilities, allowing for the distribution of grain and fertilizer, or two different seed types, across a wider working width. The new 6m folding coulterbar is designed to enhance output when used in conjunction with Kverneland's Rotago F power harrow and f-drill Maxi Plus front hopper. The 6m f-drill Plus is constructed using two 3m toolbars and is equipped with a total of 48 CX-II double-entry coulters. Seed and fertilizer distribution is managed by dual distribution heads positioned to accommodate the hydraulic folding mechanism without interference. Previously, the widest available folding assembly for grain and fertilizer distribution was 4m, utilizing 32 CX-II double-entry coulters. Simon Wills, Kverneland's product manager, stated that the 6m hydraulic folding option for grain and fertilizer was a requested feature by customers, aiming to maximize output and efficiency. The f-drill series has also seen other recent upgrades, including a new f-drill Compact Plus hopper with a split tank for different seed or fertilizer combinations, a dual front camera system, and a hopper weighing option that can be retro-fitted. Hopper sieves have also been redesigned for easier cleaning. The company has not yet announced an availability date for the new model.
