The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its strategy to contest all 117 assembly seats independently in the upcoming 2027 Punjab assembly elections. A high-level meeting of the Punjab BJP leadership, attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party leader Nitin Naveen, concluded with the decision to go it alone.
Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon stated that the party's sole agenda for Punjab is development and expressed confidence in winning all seats to form a BJP government. Manpreet Singh Badal echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the goal of establishing a 'double-engine' government to address Punjab's economic and social crises.
BJP leader Parminder Singh Brar sharply criticized the current Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, particularly concerning state safety.
